This project for Cumberland City Council is a modern community sports pavilion building, grandstand and associated field works. The new state-of-the-art community sports pavilion building and grandstand will become home to the first grade Two Blues Rugby Union team. Paving the way in sustainable design, the Eric Tweedale Stadium at Granville Park in NSW, Australia, is Australia's first. In addition, the use of a mass timber structure in the Stadium is the first use of glulam timber for this type of facility in Australia, representing an impressive achievement in timber engineering. This Modern facility will have ample elevated seating for 750 spectators giving a better crowd experience. In addition, the project includes: change rooms, multipurpose room, office, amenities, community function room, canteen, kitchen, and a covered viewing deck; Renewal of car parking area to accommodate 127 at-grade spaces, which include associated lighting; Landscaping including trees, shrubs, turf, sandstone bench and fencing; Underground Filtration System and substation; the re-construction of the rugby field; mound re-construction; stormwater drainage, irrigation, field lighting and field fencing; and establishment period.
