The iconic Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA) is known internationally as the host of one of the world’s most challenging and most prestigious sailing events, the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race. Located in Rushcutters Bay in the heart of Sydney Harbour, CYCA is globally recognised for its offshore racing community. The redevelopment was designed to improve member services and facilities for the front and back of house operations, including: Relocating all staff, including the sailing office, under the one roof Relocating and expanding changing facilities Complete refurbishment of the existing Clubhouse Creation of a new kitchen, café and function kitchens New boardrooms, reception and function space The project was completed on time and within budget, enabling the client to establish the site before the 2017 and 2018 Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht races. During the project, Belmadar maintained access to the Clubhouse and facilities while dealing with materials handling constraints.
