Belmadar is a Sydney based privately owned Construction Company delivering excellence in commercial construction. Belmadar prides itself on providing solution-based building expertise to ensure that even the most complex of projects are completed efficiently and with ease.
We are your essential partner in building projects of excellence through technical knowledge, exceptional planning and specialist solutions…complex made easy
Under Business Manager Alf Marrocco the contractors did an amazing job on a highly complex project. At one stage they built a temporary steel trussed bridge to support the floor of Centennial Hall while they worked on the lower Town Hall. There was no movement. It was a safe worksite and only one day was lost, the job was completed to program despite the unanticipated conditions and problems you get in an old Building. Congratulations and thank you to them!
Clover Moore MP, Lord Mayor of Sydney
They achieved the budget by providing innovative and smart solutions that were sympathetic to the overall design and what Coca Cola were trying to achieve. Ultimately this helped us to realize our goals for the site and CCA staff. We met our budget targets and have an exceptional building for our staff and visitors to enjoy.
Grant McClean, Coca Cola Amatil, Project Director
I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the hard work the team at Belmadar have done on our recent childcare fitout project in Forrest ACT. Belmadar have been nothing short of an exceptional contractor on this project and we anticipate that our relationship will continue well into the future based on their performance. Belmadar were invited to tender on this project with very short notice and issued a very challenging program in order to meet the client's program. While the project is not complete at the date of this reference they are well and truly in front of the program and the only tenderer who could commit in the delivering of the project for both the clients budget and program. What is most impressive about their performance is that they have managed to successfully deliver additional works requested by the landlord totalling more than half of their contract value within the same period with no delay.

Under Alf Marrocco's leadership, Belmadar delivered a great result for Sealy of Australia's New South Wales factory and office refurbishment in 2012. The Belmadar team completed the project efficiently, whilst recognising Sealy's operational requirements, which continued throughout the duration of the works. Belmadar's project management was of a high standard, with Sealy's expectations being exceeded on what proved to be a 'showcase' build.

The Monte Sant' Angelo Mercy College Administration Building upgrade project provided challenges with regards to working on a very constricted site which is an operating girls' school. Being a heritage project also posed its challenges with regards to the design and incorporating new services into an existing facility. I found Belmadar to be a low-maintenance builder; always pro-active in providing solutions or alternatives methods in order to meet the client's requirements. Their entire team were approachable and communicated the clients brief to a dedicated team of subcontractors. All of this resulted in a high quality finished product.

I wanted to take this time to formally thank Belmadar's approach to the University of Sydney Capital Works Project. Belmadar to date have been professional, diligent and extremely conscious of the live environment you are working in. Please keep up the great work and I look forward to working with you both on future projects.
Elliot Hicks - Lend Lease Project Director, University of Sydney - Capital Works Project, Building
The Independent Education Union is pleased to be a referee for Belmadar The tight time schedule of our project, the heritage building and specialist fit out required a combination of skills beyond the norm. A feature of Belmadar was the quality of relationships with their sub-contractors in tandem with a can do attitude
Mark Northam. Assistant Secretary IEU
I found Belmadar to be an exceptional operator in construction. They are highly focused on stakeholder management, "the client" both in this case Lend Lease Building and the university. They have a genuine commitment to EHS for all parties, their staff, contractors and the stakeholders. They produce a high standard of quality. They are competitive in time, cost and quality. I found dealing with Alf Marrocco to be refreshing to say the least. He runs the business in a family oriented way that allows his staff and their contractors to produce a well-constructed end product that a uniquely journey that all can be proud of.
Michael Cartisano - Senior Site Manager - Lend Lease
Belmadar carried out the renovations and extensions of two of our heritage precinct buildings with excellent attention to detail and pride in their workmanship. We also appreciated the ability of their whole team to maintain their communication and work program in the active working environment of an operating school.
Philippa Boden, Manager Facilities & Resource, Monte Sant' Angelo Mercy College
Brendan was the first person I meet in Belmadar. He was easy to talk with and answered all my questions (even if I asked the same ones over and over again). He was very respectful within our environment, which is a work place full of women. He and I had some difficult conversations at times, however, he always listened to me carefully and took on board what I said and managed the situation accordingly. If there was any problems, Brendan was on top of it and dealt with them in a timely manner. I'm very appreciative of everything he did! Adrien, not only became our supervisor during the renovations but he became a member of our team and he will be greatly missed. It takes a certain kind of person to be able to, from day one, immerse themselves in a new environment, turn it totally upside down and do so in such a respectful manner in which Adrien did. He went above and beyond any expectation that I had of someone in his position and the staff, families and myself are truly thankful to him.
Sue Hodges, Centre Manager - Playdays childcare
I've said for many years, having the right architect is not worth anything if you don't have the right builder, as they are the key to making or breaking a project. Having known Alf Marrocco, (and his father), for many years, I am therefore very familiar with Belmadar's workmanship quality, their dedication to housekeeping, and most importantly their integrity, I would have no hesitation in recommending Belmadar for any project they would wish to tackle.
Paul Godsell, Director, Crawford Architects
From the senior management down they considered the management of the work and the pressure the guys were under, and they did the right thing, and this gained the respect of the guys on-site. The team framework was really good and this is the point of difference to other builders. The outcome is a credit to you and a testament to the calibre of the staff engaged during the works.
Ron Turner, Superintendent - City of Sydney
It is with utmost honour and respect that I recommend the heritage conservation services of Belmadar. In the last 12 years, I have met with and closely worked with Mr Alf Marrocco on various heritage projects in and around the Sydney metropolitan area and further afield in NSW. As a conservation and heritage architect, I have come to appreciate his dedication, thoroughness and high level of competency insofar as the conservation of heritage fabric is concerned. At all times I have found Alf to be hardworking, conscientious and dedicated. Their team of subcontractors have met the requisite standards for heritage maintenance and conservation works. It is therefore without hesitation that I recommend Belmadar for heritage conservation works including new buildings in the vicinity of heritage buildings and ongoing maintenance for such.

When your reach the end of a project, and all parties sit back with admiration of the works completed, have high respect of each other’s roles played on that project, and have a client that is literally beaming with pride, you know you’ve been triumphant. This is only possible with a builder that is willing to do what it takes to reach this position. I would have no hesitation in recommending Belmadar for any project they would wish to tackle. I am would be happy to answer any queries, and more than happy to walk any future/potential client through our last completed project - A picture tells a thousand words, walking through and experiencing a space - tells more...
