Belmadar was engaged to convert an existing two-storey building into a new mixed-use office space for a Sydney University department.
Located off-campus, works to the building included rearrangement of the internal space, installation of furniture, fixtures and equipment and adjustments to mechanical, hydraulic and electrical services.
Belmadar completed the project within a short time-frame, while operating under the constraints of a small site footprint.
The greatest challenge was in connecting a remote off-campus faculty to the University’s IT infrastructure, which was achieved by engaging in end-user workshops and forward planning.
Despite a delayed start due to compliance constraints, Belmadar worked closely with the faculty manager to ensure successfully delivery of the project, within budget, time and with zero time lost to injuries.
This allowed the faculty to transition seamlessly into their new workspace, without interruption to ongoing important research.
